Lorena Pelon Pelonetes (Mexico)

Pelonetes candy is a yummy tamarind pulp bite covered in a fruity hard candy shell. The kind of candies that Mexicans are used to have in most cases are completely different from the ones Americans eat. For a start, there are a lot of traditional candies that have been eaten by generations. Believe it or not, also a lot of candy involves chili that kids and grownups enjoy, many of them based on mango, tamarind or chamoy (in Mexico will be known as “chilitos”). Finally, some brands that people who lived in Mexico grew up with like a Bubulubu or a marshmallow in the shape of a clown face.
